SNOW AND TEA OF WHITTARD

It is 38th day of life in the UK.
When I got up and opened a window yesterday, it snowed !!

It was so beautiful view.

It was precious wether for me, I went to take photos to Windsor Long Walk.

Althouht it was starting to melt a little, but the view was different from usual and so beautiful !!

After I took some photos, I tasted tea of Whittard which I bought last Saturday in London.

Beacuse I heard it is well-known and very popular tea shop.

I got a Finest Tea Collection. It costs 18 pounds and includes eight individual boxes of 20 teabags of their best selling fine teas.

They are tasty and the design of package is very cute.

I think it is good for souvenir !!

They have many kinds of tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

We can enjoy tasting and shopping there

ENGLISH AFTERNOON TEA AT RICHOUX

It is 35th day of life in the UK.

It rained all day and so cold today.

I went shopping and enjoyed English Afternoon Tea in London today !!

I love scones with clotted cream since I had them at Harrods Georgian Restaurant last summer.

Today we tasted afternoon tea at 'Richoux' for the first time.

We ordered 'Traditional Afternoon Tea for Two' set.

It costs £33.50 and  it's a good deal for two people.

There are a lot of restaurants and cafes which we can enjoy afternoon tea, but most of them cost over £30 per person.

So this restaurant is really reasonable, I think.

Of course, the test is also good !!

We started with six kinds of sandwiches, then tasted scones.

Scones and clotted cream ware so delicious !!

Finally, I ate a cheese cake which I can choose one from 15 variety of taste.

We can order some kinds of tea , coffee or hot chocolate, too.

This restaurant was so comfortable and good serve.

Besides, the taste is fit for Japanese, I think.

It published on some Japanese guidebooks, so Japanese mother and daughter ate same afternoon tea set at another table.

When we left it, one of waiters said, 'Arigato' in Japanese.

Mayfair is nice area for shopping and having tea !!

I would like to find many great restaurant for afternoon tea ☆

GURADS AND WINDSOR LONG WALK

It is 34th day of life in the UK.

It is sunny today. The temperature was 4 degree at 12pm but I felt much warmer.

So I went for a walk in my town.

There ware many policemen and policewomen near Windsor Castle !!

A lot of visitors are waiting for something or someone too.

Then I could hear the sound of  music !!

It was changing the guard ceremony.

I've never seen it so I was so happy today !!

The ceremony takes place at 11:00 am even dates now.

It is not as boisterous as the Buckingham Palace, but you can see and take photos really close !!

The schedule is here

After that, I went to the Windsor Long Walk !!

I went straight along Park St. and passed the gate, finally arrived.

I can see Windsor Castle on my left side.

The long walk is on my left side !!

It was really beautifull green and sunshine.

I've never seen such a long path ,so I said 'Wow !!' in English automatically.

It is worth visiting and seeing.

The view and scenery is spectacular !!

TOFU IN THE UK

It is 32nd day of life in the UK.
It is cold wind and high temperatures will be 5 degrees and low will be -1 degrees today.

So I am not going out today.

It was sunny and I went to a near grocery store, waitrose yesterday.

I often use waitrose and Sainsbury’s.

I found 'TOFU' at waitrose and I bought it.

TOFU is well-known traditional food in Japan.

It is made from soybeans and very nutritious.

It costs £1.99 ( \290), it's little expensive in the UK.

I was also surprised this package picture!!

This texture is harder than Japanese but it tastes good.

I cooked salad of Tofu , tomato and avocado with olive oil and soysouce yesterday.

Besides I will cook Miso soup with Tofu and brown seaweed today.

There are a lot of Japanese food ,  soba, udon, miso, sushi rice, dried laver seaweed, and maki sudare (a kitchen tool used for making rolled sushi and wrapping rice with dried seaweed).

I am so happy to find them !!

However I have never cook rolled sushi by myself.

I can feel Japanese sushi and food which became popular in abroad.

This nigiri sushi was good too.

I'd like to try and enjoy many Japanese food in this country.

Please try them out for yourself !!

There are a lot of photos of charactors on the wall.

We had lunch at the cafe before tour.

Finally, the tour was started !!

Even if you are not a fan of Harry Potter, I think you can enjoy this great studio !!

MOMOTARO CITY

I read this big news on my friend's facebook article.

My hometown Okayama city will change city's name to 'Momotaro city'.

('Momotaro' is well known Japanese folk tale in Okayama. 'Momo' means peach and 'Momotaro' means peach boy.)

Okayama city's PR site is here (only Japanese).

http://den-oka.jp/

Actually Okayama city doesn't change name , this is fiction for PR plan of city.

They imitate neighbour Prefectures PR plan, Kagawa Prefecture and Hiroshima Prefecture.

Around me, city's people are not positive towards this plan.

I think it's not good idea and the design of this web site is so bad.

I don't live in Okayama and I don't pay residence tax now, but I want say my opinion !!

I wish they made 'Like' button of facebook.

By the way, many people move to Okayama from other Prefecture recently, especially after the Tohoku earthquake.

Certainly very few disasters in Okayama and weather is almost calm sunny.

It's pretty good city to live, indeed very safety.

I wish they could do good and cool PR !!

My favourite artist, L’Arc~en~Ciel ranked No.3 !!

Of course they are really popular in France.

I am so happy to know this.

I think that they became the instigator of the Japanese rock band boom.

I can't wait for announcement of the next world tour.

They less exposure to the media, so I really want to go live soon !!

It is also nice for this DVD, which was released at the end of last year.
